Michael H, Baum PT CMFT

Michael Baum has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 1986. He graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University Boston Bouve College of Allied Health.

 

Mike has completed the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center residency program in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation and was a subsequent instructor at Kaiser until 1994.

 

 

 

Mike is a Nationally Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art as well as an Instructor for IPA teaching Post Graduate Physical Therapist courses. He has been teaching since 1994 where his focus is treatment of the Orthopedic and Neurological patient. He also teaches at the University of Oregon for the Masters of Science program for the Athletic Training Program.

 

Mike was the primary author for the article “A Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Progression for the Treatment of Patient with shoulder pain with spinal cord injury.”

JoLynn Stroda, PT

JoLynn graduated from Cottage Grove High school in Cottage Grove, Oregon in 1981. She attended Oregon State University and graduated with her BS in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1985. She returned to Oregon and first worked at McKenzie Willamette Hospital in Springfield, Oregon before moving to Corvallis to work at The Corvallis Clinic where she was the Department Manager for several years.

 

When she became a mom to two wonderful children, she chose to begin a new adventure as a stay at home mom and to help her husband on the family farm raising peppermint, Christmas Trees, fescue grass, wheat, and cattle. She returned to the physical therapy world to continue with her profession part time in 2011 joining the staff at Oregon

 

She really appreciates the commitment to the learning environment that Mike and his staff presents and has focused on improving her treatment skills through the IPA strategies to improve her skills as a therapist daily. She enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family, husband Kirk, children Tessa and Cody.

Michelle Bowden, PTA

 Finished an AAS Physical Therapist Assistant program at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon, starting the Summer term of 2006 and graduated in June, 2009. Michelle obtained her Oregon States Physical Therapy license in August 2009.

 

Michelle was hired at Oregon Neurosport Physical Therapy

in November 2009. Over 7 years of mentorship with Michael Baum, PT and continuing education courses through the Institute of Physical Art, Michelle has developed a better understanding of the human body and it's many functional movement patterns more thoroughly.

 

Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her 12 year old son and husband of 13 years , outdoor activities such as hiking,

 

 

camping, water skiing and enjoying the beauty of Oregon's ever-changing climates.

 

Michelle has been studying Martial Arts since 1994, received her black belt in 2000 and has been in the process of studying for her 2 degrees black belt this summer.

Victoria Baum, Office Manger

Victoria is Office Manager/co-owner for Oregon Neurosport  Physical Therapy.  Victoria  was a certified dental assistant for 22 years in California, Washington and Sitka, Alaska.

 

While in Alaska Victoria worked for SEARCH Mt. Edgecumbe  Hospital  traveling to small villages in Southeast Alaska delivering dental care to the residence of these villages.  Victoria continued her education at University of Alaska Southeast, Diablo Valley College in Concord, California and Lane Community College to pursue a career in business.

 

She has three awesome children, a pharmacist, musician, and freshman at Oregon State University.

 

On her off time she enjoys the beauty Oregon has to offer such as rafting, hiking, skiing, and biking with her family.
